The study is to compare DHE given by oral inhalation and intravenously
Therapeutic Indications: DHE (dihydroergotamine mesylate) has been used for the successful treatment of migraine for over 60 years. This new formulation of inhaled DHE is being developed to provide migraine suffers with a means of rapid, self administered migraine relief. This trial is to evaluate the influence of a drug called Ketoconazole (a marketed normally used for fungal infections) on the trial drug DHE.
Administration: Inhaled and IV
Number of volunteers needed: 24 Volunteers
Volunteer Profile: Male or female volunteers aged between 18 and 45 – must not be asthmatic or suffer from migraines. Volunteers must be non-smokers

Pre study screening |
Pre-screen medical and a chest X-Ray to be carried in the 3 weeks prior to the start of the study |
Phases |
Two phases, one of 8 days duration and the second one of 3 days with one return outpatient visit. |
